Greater Bethlehem is committed and dedicated to worship, praise and sharing God’s Word in hopes to save as many lost souls as possible in the years to come.
“Our directive is not to judge but to love you regardless of who you
are!” Matthew 7 : 1-12
So come visit and/or join and help worship and praise the Lord
God with us thru His only begotten son, Jesus Christ of Nazareth.
Greater Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church was founded as Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church II in 1951 in a small house on 2121 Bruce Street, Fort Worth, TX.
With only a handful of members, the church was born and over the years has been blessed to serve in the High Crest Community in North Fort Worth, in Everman, a southern suburb of Fort Worth and currently in the Eastern Hills Community on the East side of Fort Worth.
Today we continue its joyful proclamation of that same Gospel of Jesus Christ. Greater Bethlehem still stands as a beacon of light to the community.
Over the years, we have increased and decreased in size but the love of God, His Son Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit still dwells in our hearts.
Throughout our 70+ years of existence, Greater Bethlehem has been blessed to only have been led by five shepherds.
The founder Rev. R.W. Washington served as pastor from 1951 thru 1959.
Rev. Washington’s successor, Rev. A.B. Laws, served from 1959 thru 1978.
His successor was Rev. D. Holmes who served from 1978 to 1990.
In 1990, Greater Bethlehem was blessed with its fourth pastor in the leadership of Rev. Dr. A.J. Ezell, Jr.
In April of 2022, after 32 years of service, Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church II lost our pastor, Dr. A.J. Ezell, to a long-term illness.
In May of 2022, the church called Rev. Quenton F. Holloway as the next pastor.
In June of 2022, under the leadership of Rev. Holloway the church voted to change the name to Greater Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church with the vision of Rev Holloway guiding the church to perform greater tasks towards the building of the Kingdom in the Eastern Hills Community.
